⚖️ What Counts Toward Your License Usage?
Whistic measures license usage based on the primary function of the platform: analyzing the risk a vendor's product or service poses to your organization. A license is consumed when a review is started on a source — for example, when a reviewer begins manually reviewing a questionnaire or document within an assessment. A license is also consumed when a Vendor Summary is initiated, as this triggers the review process automatically.
Starting an assessment, sending a questionnaire request to a vendor, or running a SOC 2 Summary does not consume a license — SOC 2 Summary creates a new source document, and the license is counted when that source is subsequently reviewed.
Your current license usage and remaining count are visible at any time under Resources > Plan Overview
⏭️ What's Next?
- Currently, options 1 and 2 above are tracking AI features only.
- We plan on expanding to all features in a future release!

❓ FAQ
Why do I have more Users listed on the User Management page than what is displayed on the Plan Overview page?
Users will only be counted on the Plan Overview page if the user is set to "Managed". All other users will not be counted towards the "User" section as this is access-related and not permission-related.
If an error occurs processing an action, will this be counted towards the total?
No, only completed actions on any of the Plan Overview items will count.
