Summary
Creating Issues is now a seamless part of the assessment process! Use the existing questionnaire review tags and then decide which of those tags to convert into Issues. We'll do the heavy lifting of automatically populating as many of the Issue data fields as possible.
Keep in mind, that you must have the Issue Management feature enabled. To learn more about that, please contact your Customer Success Manager. Additionally, this feature is available to the users with the following permissions:
- Administrators
- Review Vendor Assessments
🗂️ Steps
Open a questionnaire from the Vendor's Assessment Activity and select Start Review
- For each question you will see a row of icons to help review, flag, request clarification or add comments
- Issues can be automatically created from the following review tags, so you can select either option within the dialog box:
- Mark Flagged, or
- Needs Clarification.
- Write a comment and then select 'Save'.
- Continue reviewing the questionnaire using the tags as needed.
- Once done reviewing, navigate to the top of the page and select the button Create Issues.
- A modal will appear. Here, you have the option to create Issues from any question with the review tags outlined in Step 2 above. You have the flexibility to select all or just some of the questions that were tagged.
- Once you are done selecting the Issue to be created, click Submit. It may take a moment to process the request. A message will confirm success.
- Back on the Assessment page, you will see a few new options:
- At the top left you will see an Issues drop-down. Selecting this option will produce a View Issues option that will take you to the Issues page in Whistic
- Alongside each question, there is a View Issue option. Selecting this will open the Issue view in a new tab.
- There is an additional filter option, View Issues. This will filter to display the Assessment questions with an Issue.

Can you tell me more about the issue fields?
Whistic will automatically populate as many of the Issue fields as possible. However, you will likely need to open each Issue to complete any remaining fields as necessary. Here are some of the fields that Whistic will populate:
- The Issue Name is generated by linking the following values: [Questionnaire Name + Review tag + Question ID] - for example CAIQ Flagged Question 2.3.1
- Issue Status is automatically set to Open
- The Source fields are populated as follows:
- Source Type: Questionnaire
- Source Name: [Questionnaire Name]
- Source Description [Question Text]
