Summary
Once you have completed a questionnaire, you can share it with anyone through Whistic.
You can also share or publish to the Trust Center Exchange either On-Demand or requiring approval.
Please note: Free users of Whistic will not see a 'Share Report' button for self-assessments. Free users can still share saved answers to previously completed questionnaire requests. Please see FAQ at the bottom of the article for further clarification.
📋 Steps
1. Complete the questionnaire. All answers must be fulfilled to share the questionnaire.
2. If you completed the questionnaire as part of an assessment request, a window will automatically appear once you complete the final question
- If the questionnaire shows less than 100%, use the First Unanswered or Next Unanswered buttons to show the question(s) that are unanswered.
- You can use the Filter By dropdown and select Unanswered to show only the unanswered questions.
- Common reasons a question is unanswered are that it may require a file upload even if the question is not applicable, comments are required, or you need to click outside the question for the counter to update. You can upload a blank document and enter a comment for questions that are not applicable and require a file upload.
- Once the questionnaire shows 100% the window will appear.
The window will inform you that You've completed your Questionnaire. The requestor details are automatically set and all you need to do is:
- Verify you have reviewed the answers
- Select the Share button
If you need to review your answers before sharing the questionnaire, you can close this window. When you are finished click on the Share Report button at the top of the screen.
3. After sharing your questionnaire with the original requester, you can share it with additional people. Selecting the Share Report button again will open another window requesting where to send the questionnaire.
Once the form has been submitted, the recipient will receive an email inviting them to view the questionnaire in Whistic.
All questionnaires in the Trust Center Exchange and Trust Centers, as well as on the Questionnaire itself, will have a Created Date and an Updated Date (if applicable). These will also show on the questionnaire details, in addition to Requested, Returned, and Shared.
🏪 Sharing To Trust Center Exchange
After completing the outstanding assessment request, Whistic will ask if you would like to publish your standard questionnaire to the Trust Center Exchange. If published in the Trust Center Exchange, potential customers can find and assess your security information proactively. No more completing the same questionnaire! Click HERE for details on how the Trust Center Exchange is used.
There are two options when publishing to the Trust Center Exchange (screenshot below):
- Available on demand - Whistic customers can access the questionnaire without any action needed from you.
- Requires approval - When a Whistic customer is attempting to view your questionnaire, Whistic will email you and request approval for them to access it.
🗑️ Trust Center Exchange Removal
Once published to the Trust Center Exchange, you can always return to the completed questionnaire and remove it. Simply open the questionnaire by going to Questionnaires > Locating the questionnaire > Selecting Self-Assessment > select Remove from Trust Center Exchange. If you change your mind, you can go back into the questionnaire and select Publish to Trust Center Exchange again.
At this time, to change your approval mode you will have to remove the questionnaire from the Trust Center Exchange and then share it back to the Trust Center Exchange, where you will be prompted to select the approval mode.
❓ FAQ
What if the Share button is not available?
This may be due to your company's plan with Whistic. Companies that use Whistic's platform for free can still share their information by creating and sharing their Basic Trust Center. Click HERE for details. Free users will not see a Share Report button for self-assessments; however, answers to previously completed questionnaire requests will be available.
