If you're unsure how to create multiple Whistic Profiles, you can find more information here.
There are a few use cases on building out multiple profiles for your company.
-
You might use a Whistic profile for specific products you offer.
-
You might use a Whistic profile for prospective clients and another profile for current clients who reassess your security posture.
-
You might use multiple profiles based on geographic location. A team in North America might share one profile, while another team in Europe shares a different profile.
-
You might use a profile to share more basic information but then have a more extensive profile built out that you would share upon request.
Tips and Best Practices
***Pro Tip*** When building out multiple profiles, consider building out a basic profile that can be duplicated across all of the other profiles you plan to create. Once duplicated, you can easily edit the copied profile instead of starting from scratch with every new profile created.
*Best Practice* - As your security practices change, ensure you maintain and update that posture across all profiles associated with those changes.
To add an additional profile to your account, click on the ellipsis in the top right corner as shown below. You will then select Duplicate Profile or Create New Profile.
-
You can create as many profiles as you would like. Whistic will not stop you from creating more than your license allows. Your CSM will work with you to determine how many you have created and if any changes need to be made to your package.
-
Create a basic profile that could be published to the Trust Catalog and then more advanced profiles according to the type of content you want to include.
-
A basic profile may include a few questionnaires and some basic Security documentation
-
More advanced profiles may contain premium standards like the SIG and audits like the SOC report and pentest results that are typically protected behind an NDA.
