Summary
The true power behind the Whistic Vendor Security Network is our collective ability to help each other solve an industry problem by inviting our vendors and customers to participate with us in Whistic. The more companies who join the Network, the easier it is for each of us to assess our vendors and build trust with our customers when they need to assess us. When companies understand and participate in the Network, it simplifies the vendor assessment process by making Zero-Touch Assessments a reality.*
Joining Whistic
When a company is invited to view a Profile or complete a questionnaire in Whistic for the first time, they are required to create a Whistic account. They will use this account each time they are asked to perform an assessment using a Whistic Profile or respond to a request to be assessed by a customer in Whistic.
Communication
When users set up their account in Whistic, they agree to the Whistic Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which outline how and when Whistic may communicate with them. In order to assist new network users and promote network growth, Whistic periodically reaches out to new network users with information about making their experience most effective.
Shared Network Connections
Currently, there are more than 50,000 companies on the Whistic Network and that number is growing every day. With that many companies on the Network already, it is highly likely a vendor you’re looking to vet or company that is assessing you has already been invited to join the Network by another Whistic user. Understanding that these companies and vendors are not just a connection in your company’s ecosystem but are also a shared connection within the Whistic Network is an important step toward understanding the benefits collaborative vendor security brings to the industry as a whole.
Promoting Security First
Another benefit of growing the Whistic Network is furthering the expectation of proactive vendor security across both buyers and sellers. Rather than waiting for customers to request security documentation, vendors on the Whistic Network share their Profile at the beginning of the sales cycle, enabling their customers to conduct a Zero-Touch Assessment of their security posture. Whistic, along with a number of top tech firms, recently launched the Security First Initiative to help make this expectation a reality for every business.
