Summary
Visibility into document usage can help you evaluate the value of specific documents to those reviewing your Trust Center. You may use this information for resource allocation decisions or to affect the frequency of updates. In addition, document access can be an indicator of progress in a security review or sales cycle.
You can view document views and downloads for the following groups:
- Registered Users - These are users that have created a Whistic account in order to view your Trust Center content, including documents
- Anonymous Users - These are users that accessed your Public Trust Center and did not need to register or log in to Whistic in order to access your Trust Center content and documents.
📋 Steps
As a Whistic Admin, you will now be able to use the Reporting Suite to get this data and filter/order and export the data as needed. Follow the steps below to explore your company's reporting.
- Click on the Resources on the top navigation and select Reporting.
- Select either 1) Document Views (for registered users) or 2) Document Views - Anonymous Users (for public users) from the Show dropdown.
- Please note that document views and downloads are counted on the same report. We do not distinguish between the two as in order to download the document, it would have to be viewed.
The default view in Reporting is Document Views by Document Name. The default columns are Document Name, Source Name, Viewed Date, Viewer Company, and Viewer Name.

❓ FAQ
A couple of important details about document reporting:
In order to give you the most useful data we can, Whistic counts 'unique views' from each user.
For example, if User 1 views Document A three times from a single share, only one view is counted. The most recent view is now the viewed date.
Unique views data was not stored prior to its release on December 2022, therefore the data shown will not be retroactive.
