Summary
Manual reviews allow you to adjust a vendor's assessment status directly within Whistic without going through a formal assessment process. This feature is particularly useful when you have evaluated a vendor outside of Whistic or need to track that an assessment was completed through alternative means. When you perform a manual review, it appears as a single line item labeled "Assessment Status Change" in the Assessment section of the vendor's record.

❓ FAQ
When should I use a manual review versus a formal assessment?
Manual reviews are best for situations where you've already completed an assessment outside of Whistic or when you need to document a status change without going through the full assessment workflow.
Formal assessments are preferred when you need comprehensive documentation, when working with questionnaires, or when creating a thorough audit trail.
Will a manual review provide the same level of documentation as a formal assessment?
No. A manual review only records the status change and does not include detailed assessment documentation. If you need comprehensive assessment records, consider using Whistic's formal assessment tools like Vendor Summary or questionnaires.
Can I undo a manual status change?
Yes, you can now archive and unarchive manual reviews where needed.
Who can see when I've performed a manual review?
Any user with access to the vendor record can see the Assessment Status Change entry in the Assessment section. This includes the date of the change and the user who made it.
Can I add documentation to a manual review?
While the manual review itself only records the status change, you can upload supporting documentation to the vendor's Document Repository section to maintain a complete record of your assessment.
