Summary
If you're curious about the types of questions your Trust Center recipients and internal teams have been asking in Smart Search and how AI responded to them, you can find the answers within Smart Search History.
Use Smart Search History to:
- Discover the most frequent and recent questions about your content and Trust Centers
- Review AI-generated answers and edit them
- Improve Whistic AI responses for the future by pushing your edits to your Knowledge Base
- Find out where the question was asked (Knowledge Base or a specific Trust Center)
- Know who asked the question (Internal vs Customer)
🔍 Access Your Smart Search History
*Only Admin users have access to Smart Search History.
Before we start, make sure that Whistic AI is enabled in order to see the menu option for Smart Search History.
- Click on Trust Center dropdown and select Smart Search History in the menu.
- You'll see a customizable report table populated with all questions asked in your Knowledge Base Smart Search or Trust Center Smart Search.

Click on
(next to the search bar) to choose and organize the information that you want to see in your Smart Search History table.
- AI Confidence
- Trust Center Names
- Status
- Date
- Question
- Where Asked
- Identifier
- Response
- Who Asked

Click on Filters
(on the left-hand side of the search bar) to refine the information (by Date, AI confidence level, Trust Center name), Who and Where the questions were asked, etc.
Please note that your Trust Center recipient will see a disclaimer informing them that the question they ask is being shared with you.
✏️ Review Smart Search History Details, Edit an Answer and Improve AI Responses for the Future
In the table, each row contains a question previously asked in Smart Search - Click on any row to open the Smart Search History Detail modal that allows you to review and edit the answer.
📋 Review History Details
Once you click on a question or answer, a modal appears where you can see the Smart Search Answer, AI Confidence Level, the Answer Explanation, and Relevant Sources.
- If you are satisfied with the answer, click on Mark As Reviewed to complete the review.
- The status will be updated to "Reviewed" in the next couple of minutes after a data refresh.
✍️ Edit a Smart Search Answer
- Once you click on a question or answer, you can also edit the answer to correct it. Just click the pencil icon in the top right-hand side of the Smart Search Answer modal to open the editor tool.
- When you are satisfied with your answer, click Publish and give it a few minutes for the changes to be posted on the Smart Search History report.

You can use the Refresh Report Data in the top right-hand side of the report to see the latest updates.
- The date when the answer was edited, along with the editor's name, will be saved in the records.
If you edit an answer, publish it, then ask that question in KB (after a few seconds), that answer should appear as the top source, and you will be able to see how we identify the edited answers.
