Summary
When purchasing a service or software, it is vital you understand the seller's security posture to ensure your data is safe with a vendor. Whistic allows sellers to proactively publish or send a dedicated link where buyers can request access to view a seller's security posture.
This guide will walk you through how to request a seller's Whistic profile through that link.
Steps
1. You need to have access to the dedicated request link. Sellers will either have this on their site or may send it to you directly.
2. The link will take you to a form, as seen below. Complete the form as indicated. Remember - the form is requesting your information, including your email and your company website URL. The domain from your email and website should match.

- A prompt will appear on the screen instructing you to open a new tab and log in to your account via SSO (bookmark link)
- Upon successfully logging in via SSO go back to the original tab and click the here button
- A prompt will appear on the screen instructing you to open a new tab and log in to your account via SSO (bookmark link)
3. Once complete, select Submit. Some requests are processed automatically and others require approval to access. Once processed, you will receive an email inviting you to view the Whistic profile.
Approval Pending Example:
"Approval Pending. The profile admin has been notified of your request and you'll receive an email once access is granted." Whistic will not be able to approve this request, but a vendor's Whistic profile admin will be able to if appropriate.
4. Complete registration. You may also need to agree to other conditions that the seller has placed over their Whistic profile, such as a NDA.
5. Review the profile. For additional help navigating the platform, go HERE. The invitation email will also note if there is any expiration on access to the profile.
How to Access the Profile Once Approved
If you are attempting to access a profile that requires approval, you will receive an email from Whistic inviting you to view the Whistic Profile, once approved. The email will contain a link that will grant you access to the Whistic Profile or you can log into Whistic and access the information from your Dashboard.
Note: The link to request the profile is used only to request access to the information, not to provide access to the profile. Once a request has been approved/denied the information will not update on the request link and will display that your request is pending approval.
